He is of South African origin, based in Switzerland since 1995, and is fluent in both English and French, completely at ease coaching in both languages.

Previous Background

Daniel spent more than 15 years working in a corporate environment, where he covered numerous domains firstly at Edipresse in Lausanne and then with Naville in Geneva, a subsidiary of the Lagardère Group. These included Decision Support, Financial controlling, Sales and Marketing and Innovation, holding positions as Director and Executive Committee member of the Press Distribution Business Unit at Naville, and heading up numerous cross functional taskforces, including leading a company wide innovation initiative.

With Le News, he is responsible in particular for strategy, business development and relationships with key stakeholders.

Coaching Work

Daniel has been coaching since early 2010, primarily to senior managers, within large multinationals, NGOs and with private clients.

His integral coach training through the Centre for Coaching is sourced from New Ventures West (USA) and is recognised internationally through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (GSB). He is also a mentor on programmes run by the Centre in both Australia and Switzerland.

Daniel’s work in multinationals, in particular in the field of innovation, and his more recent experience in launching and directing Le News, a new media business, has allowed him to develop a keen appreciation of the challenges facing leaders and entrepreneurs who operate in multi-cultural environments, accompanied by the necessity to constantly keep pace with ever changing markets.
