“As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears.” Rumi

Previous Background

Michele spent 10 years in a corporate environment, working for the Development Bank of Southern Africa (Johannesburg) in Public Relations as an editor and translator.

Her areas of responsibility included publishing Development Southern Africa, a quarterly academic journal, as well as advising top management on publications, both in-house and external. For the first 12 years in Switzerland, she worked on a freelance basis in the same domain, before changing direction in 2004, when she trained as a holistic therapist.

Since 2005, Michele has been exploring the field of personal development, holistic therapies and the role of emotions on both the mind and the body. She is both a certified EFT Therapist and an Accredited Senior Journey® Practitioner.

Coaching Work

Leveraging off her previous experience, Michele has included coaching in her practice, mainly with private clients, since early 2011.

Her Integral Coach training through the Centre for Coaching is sourced from New Ventures West (USA) and is recognised internationally through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (UCT GSB).

Michele’s experience, both corporate and with private clients, has given her a deep appreciation of multicultural challenges, of the richness of interpersonal work with clients, and of the uniqueness and potential residing in each human being.

Educational Background

Michele has a Master of Arts (Translation) from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Her coach training includes CTE (Coaching to Excellence), the 6-month ACC (Associate Coaching Course) and the year-long PCC (Professional Coaching Course) through the Centre for Coaching, at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is credentialed through the ICF (Professional Certified Coach).

Michele completed her training as a certified EFT Therapist in April 2008 and as an Accredited Journey® Practitioner in June 2010.  She is an active member of Soroptimist International, a worldwide service organisation working to improve the lives of women and girls.

She is married, with two adult children, and enjoys music, yoga, skiing, reading, salsa and cinema.
